Held in London at the British Council's Spring Gardens offices this event was aimed at exchanging best practice and looking for ways to encourage more students to take up the opportunities offered by the Erasmus Programme.
The event was attended by a range of speakers, staff and students from around the UK. ESN UK was represented by Martin Underwood (President ESN UK).
It was co-ordinated by the British Council along with the Erasmus Student Committee.
A panel discussion took place which covered areas of how the British Council is going to encourage more students to take part in Erasmus rather than just redefining what 'mobile students' were, there was a strong and very apparent mood towards active encouragement of new students to take part. ESN UK put the case forward for more active engagement with Erasmus societies around the UK, particularly through its network.
The event also held two workshops, one on looking at ways to improve promotion of the scheme in the UK and two comment on the future of Erasmus and student mobility through the European Commissions Green Paper on Youth Mobility.
ESN UK found the event extremely useful and were delighted to have been invited along to talk and look forward to working more closely with the British Council and the Erasmus Student Committee.
